Two New Collections: AFI’s Top 100 Movies, National Film Awards

With its lists of the top 100 films, the American Film Institute has identified the best of the best to hit the silver screen, the seminal movies filled with Hollywood legends and unforgettable moments. Ten years after the very first list in the series — the 100 greatest American films of all time — AFI’s experts have taken another look and movie lovers have been waiting for the result. Now, the new top 100 movies list has been revealed.

National Film Awards 

The National Film Awards is the most prestigious and one of India’s oldest award ceremonies. The Awards select the best of Indian cinema with particular focus on Indian art and culture. It began in 1954 and is currently run by the Directorate of Film Festivals which was established in 1973. Here is a collection of movies that have won the National Film Award in various categories.
