How much
does it cost to rent a DVD?
We charge Rs. 99.00 per DVD for three days. This includes
delivery and pick up charges. Membership is free
and there is no security deposit or any other
hidden charge. You can pay using your credit card
at the time of renting the DVD. Our site as a
secure mechanism to process credit card payments.
What is the collection like?
We have a wide selection of movies — everything
from classics to new releases. As a member, you'll
be able to choose from thousands of titles —
much more that the collection of a typical video
store. Our web site is available 24 hours a day
and makes finding great movies easy. We offer
powerful movie search and many categories to browse
through. We also offer movie recommendations based
on your taste and reviews to help you find movies
you'll love.
How does the delivery and pick-up work?
Once you select your movie and order the DVD, we ship it the same day if you place the order before 4:00 PM and the DVD should arrive at your door the next working day. For orders placed after 4:00 PM, we ship the DVD the next day so you should get it the following day.
At the time of renting, you can select where you would like the DVD to be delivered, at your home of at your office. After three days, the DVD will be picked-up from your home or office, wherever it was delivered. We have partnered with a leading courier company to provide the delivery and pick-up service. You do not have to pay anything at the time or delivery or pick-up.
Can you deliver at and pick-up from my
office?
Yes, at the time of renting the DVD, you can choose
whether you would like the DVD to be delivered
to your home or your office. The pick-up will
be done from the same address. In fact, we prefer
delivery at and pick-up from office address as
offices are generally easily accessible.
How fast will I get my DVDs?
If you rent before 6.00 PM, we ship it out the
same day and you are likely to get it the next
day (except on Sundays).
How many DVDs can I rent?
You can rent unlimited number of DVDs as you pay
for each DVD that you rent. But you can rent only
two DVDs at a time.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes, you can easily cancel your membership anytime,
online, 24 hours a day. There are no cancellation
fees. You pay for each DVD you rent and there
is no monthly charges so you can just stop renting
DVDs.
How should I handle the DVDs?
Handle DVD disks by the outer edge or the center
hole. Try to keep dirt or foreign matter from
the disk. Return the disk to the protective plastic
insert and sleeve immediately after use.
The DVD skips, can I clean it?
You can clean a disk by wiping it with a clean
cotton fabric in a straight line from the center
of the disk toward the outer edge. You may use
DVD cleaning detergent, window cleaner, isopropyl
alcohol or methanol to clean the DVD. You should
never clean a disk in a circular direction around
the disk.
Is it possible to damage a DVD?
Yes it is possible. To prevent damage to the DVD,
you should not touch the surface of the DVD. Nor
should you bend the disk. Disks should not be
exposed to extreme heat or prolonged sunlight.
I received a movie I didn’t request.
What should I do?
If you receive a movie that you did not request,
it will be picked-up as per schedule. Please email
us at info@catchflix.com
or enclose a note so that we can track and fix
the error when we receive the disk. We will credit
the rental fee back into your account so that
you can rent the movie you want to see without
paying extra.
The DVD I received doesn’t match
the movie label on the sleeve.
If the DVD doesn’t match the movie label
on the sleeve, it will be picked-up as per schedule.

The DVD I received is broken or faulty
(i.e., it skips or doesn’t play).What should
I do?
If the DVD is faulty it will be picked-up as per

the error when we receive the disk. We will credit
the rental fee back into your account so that
you can rent the movie you want to see without
paying extra.
I lost/broke your DVD. What should I do?
If you’ve lost or broken a DVD, please inform
us immediately by calling us at 4130-6187 or by
sending us an email at info@catchflix.com.
We will charge you the replacement cost of the
DVD, plus an administrative fee of 50% of the
replacement cost. This amount will be added as
a due in your account and you can pay it the next
time you rent a DVD.
How do I cancel my membership?
To cancel your membership, just send us an email
at info@catchflix.com.
If you have any dues, you will have to pay
the due amount before your membership is cancelled.
How often do you ship movies?
Each day of the week except on Sunday.
How are movies sent to me and when will
I get them?
DVDs are sent as through a leading courier company
that provides the delivery and pick-up services
to Catchflix. If you rent before 6.00 PM, we ship
it out the same day and you are likely to get
it the next day (except on Sundays). Otherwise,
you should receive your movie within 2 business
days. Please contact us if you haven’t received
your movie within that time.
How do I know a movie has been sent to
me?
When we send out the movie you have rented we
will send you an email informing you that the
DVD has been sent. You can expect the DVD the
next day.
How can I see my order history?
You can see your order history by clicking on
you “Your Account” on the site after
you sign in to the site.
I received a Movie Sent email, but I still
haven’t received it. What should I do?
It may take 2 business days for the DVD to reach
you. If you ordered more than 2 days back and
you still have not received it, please send us
an email at info@catchflix.com.
How do I return a movie?
The DVD will be picked-up three working
days after you receive it from your home or office,
wherever it was delivered. If you ordered a DVD
on a Monday, you will get it on Tuesday and it
will be picked-up on Thursday. If you order on
a Thursday, you will get it on Friday and it will
be picked-up on Monday, Sunday being a holiday.
How do I know you’ve received my
returned DVD?
When we receive a DVD we will send you an email
informing you that your DVD has been received
and it will be removed from your account.
Should I send you an email when I return
a movie?
No, you don’t need to send us an email.
Can I pick up a movie from your office
instead of having it shipped to me?
No. All DVDs will be sent to you.
Can I return a movie directly to your
office?
No. DVD will be picked-up from you by our staff.
How many movie titles do you have in your
library?
While there are no independent sources to verify,
we believe our DVD library is the largest in India.
The movie library is updated with new titles regularly.
If we don’t have a title you’d like,
suggest it to us by sending us an email to feedback@catchflix.com.
How many copies of each title do you have
in your library?
We carry multiple copies of each title in our
DVD library. The demand for individual titles
in the library is monitored and new copies are
added as appropriate.
What region codes are the DVDs in your
library?
The DVD library consists primarily of region 1
and region 5 movies. Almost all DVD players sold
in India are multi-region players. As long as
your DVD player is a multi coded player, it should
be able to play all of our DVDs.
Can I choose the region code of my requested
DVDs?
No. In terms of inventory and shipping, we do
not differentiate between different region codes
of our DVDs.
My DVD player can’t play the region
code of the disk you sent me. What should I do?
You can ask an electronics technician or the shop
from where you bought your DVD player to program
it to play DVDs of multiple regions. DVD players
have dropped tremendously in price recently to
below Rs. 5,000, so might consider buying a multi-region
player.
How do I become a member?
Click on the “Sign Up” link and enter
all requested information. You will get a confirmation
email with a link. Click you that link to activate
your membership and start renting DVDs.
I’ve completed my sign up. Why can’t
I login?
Make sure you’ve clicked on the activation
link in the email that was sent to you immediately
after you signed up. Only after you click on the
link will you be able to login.
I deleted the activation email before
clicking on the link. What should I do?
Send us an email as info@catchflix.com
and we will resend the activation email to you.
I didn’t receive the activation
email. Why not?
Your email program or provider may have incorrectly
treated our email as spam. Go to your SPAM or
BULK mail folder, find our email, and then add
our email address to your address book.
I’ve changed my email address with
you. Is my original password still valid?
Yes, your original password is still valid.
I forgot my password. What shall I do?
Click on the link “Forgot Password”.
Your password will be emailed to you.
How long can I keep a movie?
You can keep the movie for three days after which
it is picked-up from you.
What is Watch List?
If a movie you want to see is rented out to another member, you can add it to your Watch List. Once it is available, we will send you an email to you to let you know that it is available.
How do I add movies to my Watch List?
If a movie you want to see is rented out to another
member, you will see an “Add to Watch List”
button in stead of the “Rent Now” button.
You can add it to your Watch List by clicking
on that button. Once it is available, we will send you an email to you to let you know that it is available.
Do you accept cash or checks?
We accept payment only through credit cards, debit cards, and internet banking accounts. We do not
accept cash or checks.
Is my credit card data safe?
The credit card pages of the website are secure.
We use 128-bit SSL encryption - the most secure
technology commercially available on the internet
today. Your data is encrypted so it cannot be
read during transit. Your credit card data is
secure and is treated with the utmost confidentiality. |
